Hochfügen Ski Area
Hochfügen is located at 1,500 metres above sea level, right in the heart of the ski area. With connections to Ski-Optimal Hochzillertal/Kaltenbach and the Spieljochbahn in Fügen, you have access to 181 kilometres of perfectly groomed slopes. Gondola lifts, chairlifts and drag lifts take you up to 2,500 metres above sea level. Skiing from November to April is completely normal up here. Even when the valley is already turning green, winter still reigns supreme in Hochfügen.

At 1,500 metres above sea level, one thing is certain: excellent snow reliability from December to April and plenty of peace and relaxation away from mass tourism and noise.
From Fügen, the journey takes around 20 minutes by car through beautiful natural scenery up to our small high plateau. You won’t find busy shopping streets, countless restaurants or large crowds here. Instead, there are just a few hotels and mountain huts that blend perfectly into the landscape, beautifully groomed slopes, wonderful mountain views and plenty of peace in a fantastic winter sports area.
Ski Rental & Ski School
Kostenzer
Just 80 metres from the hotel, Kostenzer ski school and ski rental provide everything you need for a great winter day in Hochfügen. The rental shop offers modern ski and snowboard equipment, cross-country skiing gear, toboggans and complete ski touring equipment including shovel, avalanche transceiver and probe – all individually matched to your ability. If you want to learn to ski or improve your technique, the ski school offers private and group lessons for all ages and ability levels.
Qualified snow sports instructors are happy to share valuable tips with children and adults and guide them across some of the best slopes in the Hochfügen-Zillertal ski area.

Freeride fans also have plenty to look forward to in Hochfügen. The ski area is considered snow-reliable from December to April, providing excellent conditions for off-piste skiing. To help you move safely and responsibly in open terrain, special information and courses on freeriding are available. Then it’s time to head out into the snow.
